We hope you can join us for our Client Webinar this Wednesday, “Case Studies on Geotechnical Engineering in Mountainous Terrain” presented by three engineers:  R. Tyler Smith, PE; Mark Plotkin, PE, D, GE; and Bryan Wyatt, PE.

(1 AIA LU; 1 PDH)

In this presentation, we will focus on the geotechnical aspects of three slope repair projects in the southern Appalachians of North Carolina and Virginia that ECS has helped our clients successfully accomplish. We will discuss the importance of subsurface explorations and geotechnical evaluations, identifying limitations and critical design considerations, selecting an appropriate repair approach, aspects of the geotechnical design, and the successful execution of slope stabilization projects. Focus will be given to the various design considerations that need to be evaluated when selecting a slope stabilization or repair approach and are typically specific to a particular project and site condition, including site limitations, access, disturbance, and cost.
